Recommended Oil Type for the Kia Telluride

When it comes to maintaining the performance and longevity of your Kia Telluride, using the right oil type is essential. Choosing the recommended oil ensures smooth engine performance, fuel efficiency, and long-term durability. If you’re a Kia Telluride owner in Stuart, FL, this guide from Wallace Kia has you covered with everything you need to know about the correct oil type for your SUV. more What Is the Recommended Oil Type for the Kia Telluride? The recommended oil type for the Kia Telluride is SAE 5W-30 full synthetic motor oil. This oil type offers optimal protection in a wide range of temperatures, ensuring smooth performance in both hot Florida summers and cooler winter conditions. Full synthetic oil is designed to resist thermal breakdown, reduce sludge buildup, and provide better lubrication for engine components. Why Use Full Synthetic Oil in Your Kia Telluride? Switching to full synthetic oil has numerous benefits for your Kia Telluride’s engine. Here’s why Wallace Kia in Stuart, FL, recommends it: Superior Temperature Resistance: Full synthetic oil maintains its stability in extreme temperatures, which is crucial for Florida’s warm climate. Better Lubrication: It provides a consistent and even coating for engine components, reducing wear and tear over time. Improved Engine Cleanliness: Synthetic oil is engineered to reduce sludge and deposits, keeping the engine cleaner. Longer Oil Change Intervals: While conventional oil typically requires more frequent changes, synthetic oil can last longer, potentially saving you time and money. Enhanced Fuel Economy: Full synthetic oil reduces engine friction, which can contribute to better fuel efficiency. How Often Should You Change the Oil in a Kia Telluride? Regular oil changes are crucial for the health of your Kia Telluride’s engine. Kia generally recommends changing the oil every 7,500 to 10,000 miles when using full synthetic oil. However, if you frequently drive in severe conditions, such as stop-and-go traffic, extreme heat, or dusty roads, you may need to change it more often. To stay on track, Wallace Kia in Stuart, FL, suggests following your owner’s manual’s maintenance schedule or consulting with a certified Kia technician. How Do You Check the Oil in Your Kia Telluride? Keeping an eye on your oil level is easy and can prevent engine issues before they become costly repairs. Here’s a step-by-step guide to check the oil in your Kia Telluride: Park on Level Ground: Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and that the engine is off and cool. Pop the Hood: Locate and open the hood using the release lever inside the vehicle. Locate the Dipstick: Look for the oil dipstick, usually marked with a bright yellow or orange handle. Check the Oil Level: Pull out the dipstick, wipe it clean with a cloth, reinsert it fully, and then pull it out again to see the oil level. Assess the Oil’s Condition: If the oil appears dark and dirty or is below the recommended fill line, it’s time to schedule an oil change at Wallace Kia in Stuart, FL. 2022 Kia EV6 parked in a Stuart Florida. Does it qualify for EV Tax Credit?

The New EV Tax Credit Has Many Requirements

There has been a lot of confusion about 2023’s new federal EV tax credit law.  First of all, when it comes to the tax code, many of us find it beyond confusing.  That is why a lot of people rely on tax professionals to help them prepare their annual tax returns.  Well the new EV tax credit won’t disappoint you, it is extremely confusing. more So What Exactly Is The Electric Vehicle Tax Credit? The electric vehicle tax credit is a nonrefundable tax credit. It is offered to taxpayers who purchase a qualifying new electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid vehicle. It can also be used on qualifying used electric vehicles.  A nonrefundable tax credit will lower your tax liability by the credit amount. However, it can only be used to offset taxes you owe. If you do not owe taxes and are receiving a refund, you can not use the tax credit.  Taxpayers can only claim one credit per vehicle. The new vehicle EV tax credit is worth up to a total of $7,500. It consists of a $3,750 tax credit for the battery requirement and a $3,750 tax credit for the critical minerals requirement. The new electric vehicle must meet several other qualifications in order to qualify the full EV tax credit. You may also qualify for up to $4,000 tax credit on qualifying used electric vehicles. There is a maximum limit of 30% of the sales price of a used EV. How Will I Know If I Qualify For The Tax Credit? First, the vehicle you are purchasing must qualify for the tax credit.  The vehicle must meet several criteria such as MSRP, final assembly requirements, and battery & critical minerals requirements.  The IRS urges taxpayers to use its tool for the most up to date information on the tax credit and vehicle requirements.  You can now consult the FuelEconomy.gov website for the latest information. The purchaser of the electric vehicle must also qualify for the tax credit.  The new law sets limits on the modified adjusted gross income for taxpayers in order to qualify for the tax credit.  If both the vehicle and the taxpayer meet the requirements for the tax credit, you must file IRS Form 8936 with your tax return to claim the EV tax credit. 2022 Kia Sorento Review, Pricing, and Specs

2022 Kia Sorento Review, Pricing, and Specs With more powertrain options and a smaller footprint, the 2022 Kia Sorento is a compelling substitute for the larger Kia Telluride. Both Kia models are handsome and have three rows, but adults won't want to spend much time in the Sorento's far-back seats, and when those seats are upright they limit its cargo capacity. Keep the third row stowed, however, and its nicely appointed cabin becomes a comfortable place for a small family. Unlike the Telluride, the Sorento is available as a hybrid or plug-in hybrid, which help maximize fuel efficiency. No matter what's providing the motivation, the Kia has a smooth ride and satisfying handling characteristics. The entire package is cohesive and packed with popular standard and optional features, making the 2022 Sorento one of the better options in its class. What's New for 2022? A plug-in-hybrid model joins the Sorento lineup for the 2022 model year. Its powertrain combines a turbocharged four-cylinder and six-speed automatic transmission with an electric motor for a total system output of 261 horsepower. All-wheel drive is standard, and Kia claims the plug-in Sorento has a combined fuel economy rating of 79 MPGe and an electric only range of 32 miles. While we don't know how much the PHEV variant will cost, we know it'll be offered in two top-tier trims: SX and SX-P. Get Pre-Approved Schedule Test Drive Value Your Trade Pricing and Which One to Buy We like the EX trim level. It's pricier than the bottom two models, but it comes standard with the more powerful 281-hp turbo four. It also has nicer amenities than the S trim below it that includes leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, remote start, and snazzier styling such as 18-inch wheels and black exterior accents. Pairing all-wheel drive with the EX trim costs an extra $3700, which is $1900 more than the previous model year. However, the upgrade now comes with content from the X-Line appearance package that includes a 1.0-inch higher ride height, 20-inch wheels, a bridge-type roof rack, and other exclusive exterior details. You can explore all the different Kia Sorento trims available near you at Wallace Kia of Stuart. The Kia Sorento offers a little bit of something for everyone. Find out which model is right for you today! Engine, Transmission, and Performance The Sorento has a wide selection of engine options and is available with front- or all-wheel drive. A 191-hp 2.5-liter inline four cylinder engine is standard and a 281-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder is available too. Both pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the hybrid model uses a six-speed automatic. We drove a top of the line SX trim with the turbo four and appreciated its noticeable thrust, but we wish the powertrain felt more responsive off the line. The same model delivered poised handling, a nicely isolated ride, and firm brake-pedal feedback. The eco-friendly Sorento hybrid features the combination of a turbo 1.6-liter four-cylinder gas engine and a 44.0-kW electric motor that together generate 227 horsepower. However, this setup is only offered with front-wheel drive. Kia also offers a plug-in version of the hybrid that features the same engine and transmission, but it makes a combined 261 horsepower and has a larger 66.9-kW electric motor and is all-wheel drive only. When equipped with the towing package, the Sorento can pull up to 3500 pounds. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG The Sorento with the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder is estimated to earn up to 24 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. The more powerful turbocharged 2.5-liter four is rated up to 22 mpg city and 29 highway. The hybrid Sorento is the most fuel efficient with estimates of 39 mpg city and 35 highway. The plug-in hybrid has a combined rating of 79 MPGe, but its city and highway estimates are listed at 35 and 33 mpg, respectively. Get Pre-Approved Schedule Test Drive Value Your Trade Kia also claims the PHEV can travel up to 32 miles on electricity alone on a single charge. Once we have the chance to run these powertrains on our 75-mph highway fuel economy route, which is part of our extensive testing regimen, we can evaluate the SUV's real-world mpg. For more information about the Sorento's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo Space Inside, the Sorento has an attractive layout, nice materials, and solid build quality. The dashboard can be outfitted with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The rest of the design blends rhombus-shaped air vents integrated ambient lighting, and intricately stitched surfaces on the door panels and seat inserts. The center console hosts a rotary shift knob as well as a drive-mode selector and other vehicle functions. A variety of cubby storage spots and cupholders also fill out the console. Along with a standard third row, its second-row bench can be swapped for a pair of captain's chairs. Compared with the larger Telluride, the Sorento's far-back seats aren't comfortable for adults, and we only managed to fit two carry-on suitcases in the cargo area—two fewer than the Telluride. The 2022 Kia Soul drives down the road in Stuart, FL after being purchased from Wallace Kia.

2022 Kia Soul Review, Specs, and Pricing

2022 Kia Soul Review, Specs, and Pricing When it comes to all the toaster-shaped vehicles, the 2022 Kia Soul reigns supreme, having outlasted the Honda Element, the Nissan Cube, and the Scion xB. Today it competes with more traditionally styled subcompact crossovers, including the Chevrolet Trailblazer, the Jeep Renegade, and the Kia Seltos, but it hasn't given in to those proportions. It remains a quirky cube. A 147-hp four-cylinder engine comes standard, but Kia offers a powerful 201-hp turbocharged four, which makes the Soul extra perky. The boxy shape provides plenty of room for four adults to cruise in comfort and a suitably large cargo area to hold their gear. If you need all-wheel drive, you'll have to look elsewhere, as the Soul doesn't offer it. Nor does it provide standard driver assistance features. What's New for 2022? The Soul sees few changes for 2022. The old oval-shaped logo is gone, replaced with Kia's new futuristic one. The 10.3-inch infotainment display with navigation is now offered on all but the base LX model, which gets an 8.0-inch unit (previously 7.0 inches). Get Pre-Approved Schedule Test Drive Value Your Trade You can equip the LX model with a Technology package, including automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring. S, X-Line, and GT-Line models all provide dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, wireless smartphone charging, and two more USB ports as standard equipment. Unfortunately, the manual transmission has been discontinued. Pricing and Which One to Buy We like the X-Line and GT-Line models, which start at the same price and offer two different takes on the Soul's already quirky appearance. The X has a more rugged look, with black plastic cladding and exclusive Undercover Green paint. The GT-Line is sportier, with its own wheel design and body-color trim plus some bright-red exterior bits. Both come standard with a suite of driver assists that includes automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and rear-cross-traffic alert. We will discuss the different trim levels of the all new 2022 Kia Soul below. Keep reading to find out all that's new for this years model. Engine, Transmission, and Performance Kia offers two engines in the Soul. The base option is a 147-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder, which comes paired with a continuously variable dual clutch automatic transmission (CVT). At our test track, a Soul X-Line needed a full 8.0 seconds to reach 60 mph, but it doesn't feel underpowered in normal driving. In fact, the base engine feels peppy around town, and the CVT willingly selects lower gear ratios when you're looking to pass someone. The top-spec Turbo trim model comes with a 201-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder and a seven-speed automatic transmission. It snapped off a quick 6.4-second 60-mph time in our hands. Get Pre-Approved Schedule Test Drive Value Your Trade Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG The Soul carries an EPA rating as high as 35 mpg for highway driving and as low as 27 mpg in the city—not bad for a seemingly non- aerodynamic box on wheels. The Nissan Kicks and the Hyundai Venue—its key rivals—offer similar highway numbers, but both outshine the Kia in the city, achieving 31 and 30 mpg, respectively. In our 75-mph fuel economy test, the turbocharged Soul saw 33 mpg. An X-Line model powered by the base four-cylinder managed 30 mpg. For more information about the Soul's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo Space The Soul's upright body provides a spacious interior with plenty of room for people and cargo. Kia's designers have incorporated enough youthful cheekiness inside to match the Soul's fashion-forward exterior, including textured door-panel inserts and colorful trim. Additional goodies on offer include ambient lighting, a smartphone charging pad, a head-up display, push-button ignition with keyless entry, and heating for the seats and steering wheel. Kia also allows owners a certain amount of customization, with two-tone paint options and a plethora of interior color schemes. In the cargo area, the tall-roofed Soul provides enough space for seven carry-on suitcases; with the rear seats folded—it should be noted that they don't fold completely flat—we were able to fit 20 cases. The Venue, with its smaller hold and tighter rear seat space, managed to fit just four behind the rear seat and 17 with the seats down. Infotainment and Connectivity Touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability is standard across the board, and all trims but the base model receive a large 10.3-inch display; the LX gets an 8.0-inch unit. Choose a model with the 10.3-incher and you'll get niceties such as SiriusXM satellite radio, real-time traffic updates, in-dash navigation, and a wireless smartphone charging pad. Most models come with a six-speaker stereo, but a Harman/Kardon setup is standard on the top-spec Turbo model. Safety and Driver Assistance Features Kia doesn't provide standard driver assistance technology on the base Soul, but it does for the S model and above. For more information about the Soul's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ( NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety ( IIHS) websites. Key safety features include: Available forward collision warning and automated emergency braking Available lane departure warning and lane-keeping assist Available adaptive cruise control Warranty and Maintenance Coverage While Kia has a well-known 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, Hyundai does it one better by offering the same coverage plus three years of included scheduled maintenance. Limited warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles Powertrain warranty covers 10 years or 100,000 miles No complimentary scheduled maintenance Get Pre-Approved Schedule Test Drive Value Your Trade

2022 Kia Telluride drives around corner in Stuart, FL.

2022 Kia Telluride Review, Pricing, and Specs

2022 Kia Telluride Review, Pricing, and Specs The 2022 Kia Telluride separates itself from the herd of three-row, midsize SUV crossovers with its handsome looks, unexpected luxuriousness, and unrivaled value. Of course, the largest Kia also flawlessly executes its core mission, which is to comfortably ferry families and their cargo. With a rugged exterior and a rich-looking interior, the Telluride wouldn't appear out of place in a Land Rover showroom. Along with an array of standard active safety features, every model has a robust infotainment system, and the top trim offers luxuries such as ventilated rear seats for an incredibly affordable price. While the palatial ute isn't exactly exciting to drive, and its 291-hp V-6 isn't particularly fuel-efficient, its ride is refined and body roll is restrained. It'll also effortlessly tug a 5000-pound trailer and all-wheel-drive models will tackle uneven terrain with ease. The 2022 model Telluride is simply the gold standard of its segment. What's New for 2022? For 2022, Kia bestows its new-look logo on the Telluride, with the company's rebranded badge appearing prominently on its mildly restyled grille, rear liftgate, and steering wheel cover. The SUV's bottom two trims also benefit from better standard features, including a 10.3-inch touchscreen (replacing the old 8.0-inch unit) and fully automatic temperature control. Plus, both models now come with semi autonomous adaptive cruise control that even utilizes the navigation system to actively adjust the vehicle's speeding going into and out of corners. Pricing and Which One to Buy The Telluride is such a great value that we'd even choose the top of the line SX model. It comes standard with flashy features, such as a 12-way power driver's seat, black-painted 20-inch rims, a Harman Kardon stereo, front and rear sunroofs, Automatic Climate Control, and second-row captain's chairs. Those who want the added sense of security that comes with all-wheel drive can have it for an extra $1900. We'd further enhance our Telluride with the SX Prestige package that brings a head-up display, heated and ventilated second-row seats, nappa leather upholstery, and more. The tow package's hitch and self-leveling rear suspension are also a worthy addition in order to best utilize the ute's towing capability. There is also the sleek and stunning trim level called the Nightfall Edition. This version has a black grille, wheels, and much more. Get Pre-Approved Schedule Test Drive Value Your Trade Engine, Transmission, and Performance Under the hood of every Telluride is a naturally aspirated V-6 that makes 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Its engine pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission that feeds the front wheels in the standard format of the front wheel drive model—all-wheel drive is also optional across the board. The top of the line Telluride SX we tested sped to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds. However, the big Kia didn't feel as responsive to throttle inputs at lower speeds as did some of its turbocharged rivals. The Telluride's ride is on the firm side, with harsh pavement sometimes throwing the three-row SUV off its intended path. A self-leveling rear air suspension is also available. Brakes are excellent and the steering is precise with a nice heft to its feel. The Telluride boasts 8.0 inches of ground clearance for off-road excursions, and it can tow up to 5000 pounds. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG Unlike many rival three-row SUVs, the Telluride is only offered with a V-6 powertrain. The EPA estimates the front-drive version is the thriftiest, with ratings of 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. All-wheel-drive models drop to 19 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, which are slightly higher than V-6–powered competitors such as the Volkswagen Atlas and slightly lower than the Honda Pilot. The all-wheel-drive Telluride we tested on our 75-mph highway fuel economy route returned 24 mpg—matching its government rating. The Atlas also earned 24 mpg while the Pilot got 27 mpg during our real-world test. For more information about the Telluride's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Get Pre-Approved Schedule Test Drive Value Your Trade Interior, Comfort, and Cargo Regardless of people's opinion about the Telluride's bold outward appearance, its interior is undeniably upscale and comfortable. The build quality is excellent, the materials are attractive, and the desirable features are plentiful. The SX trim tops them all with the fanciest options that include driver's seat memory settings, a head-up display, heated and ventilated rear seats, a premium headliner, and nappa leather upholstery. Because the 2022 Telluride is several inches longer than the seven passenger Kia Sorento, its cabin is even more spacious, especially for those in the way back seat. There is room for eight with a second-row bench seat or room for seven with the optional captain's chairs. Along with ample interior storage throughout the cabin, we managed to fit four carry-on suitcases behind its third row and stuffed a total of 35 carry-ons with both back rows folded flat. Infotainment and Connectivity Even Telluride boasts a robust infotainment system that features a 10.3-inch touchscreen with popular content that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability along with numerous power points. Also available is a 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a 110-volt power inverter, and wireless smartphone charging. With Driver Talk, which is available on the EX and SX trims, the driver's voice is amplified through speakers in the back two rows to better communicate with any inattentive or unruly passengers. Safety and Driver Assistance Features Kia is packaging a comprehensive suite of driver assistance technology on all Telluride models. Several upgraded assists are also available, including automatic high-beams, a 360-degree camera system, and what Kia calls a Blind-Spot View Monitor. This tech projects a camera image of the vehicles blind-spot into the gauge cluster display. For more information about its crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ( NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety ( IIHS) websites. Key safety features include: Standard forward collision warning and automated emergency braking Standard lane departure warning and lane-keeping assist Standard blind-spot monitoring Highway Driving Assist Warranty and Maintenance Coverage Kia provides some of the best comprehensive coverage out there, with the longest powertrain warranty in the biz. However, it lacks the complimentary scheduled maintenance of rivals such as the Toyota Highlander and the Chevy Traverse. Limited warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles Powertrain warranty covers 10 years or 100,000 miles No complimentary scheduled maintenance Get Pre-Approved Schedule Test Drive Value Your Trade

Kia K5 driving down Stuart, FL road leaving Wallace Kia of Stuart.

2022 Kia K5 Review, Pricing, and Specs

2022 Kia K5 Review, Pricing, and Specs The 2022 Kia K5 is classified as a family sedan, but its exciting design and 290-hp engine option allude to something sexier. Sure, the sedan formerly known as the Kia Optima isn't about to usurp its perennially excellent rival, the Honda Accord, but the K5's roster of popular equipment and friendly pricing make it a strong value play. Every model enjoys standard active safety features and infotainment tech, and the sedan's attractive interior is bolstered by a roomy back seat. The K5 GT gets the souped-up engine, and its tire-spinning antics will either draw or deter shoppers. The standard powertrain is largely inoffensive, and it's also the only way to access all-wheel drive. Despite a driver's seat that's too high and ride isolation that's negatively impacted by the biggest available wheel-and-tire combo, overall the 2022 K5 is an impressive sedan—whether it's bought for a family or not. Get Pre-Approved View Specials Value Your Trade What's New for 2022? For 2022 model year, all K5 models are affixed with Kia's new logo, and there is a smattering of newly standard features across the midsize sedan lineup. The front-drive LXS now has rear-seat USB charge ports. The GT-Line now offers a base all-wheel-drive trim, which essentially makes the system a $1600 option versus part of last year's $3700 package. Most notably, the GT-Line and up now come standard with a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of the previous 8.0-inch unit. All front-drive GT-Line models now have a wireless smartphone charger on the center console, too. The EX and GT both get a new 360-degree camera system, power-folding exterior mirrors, and front parking sensors. Don't forget creature comforts such as a wireless charger for your phone, heated steering wheel and led lights. Pricing and Which One to Buy For those who don't care about the extra firepower that comes with the GT's 290-hp engine, the GT-Line has a satisfying mix of racy styling elements. That's the one we'd recommend, and for those who want the all-weather traction of all-wheel drive, it's available for an extra $1600. Otherwise every GT-Line comes standard with a sportier body kit, 18-inch wheels, a 10-way power driver's seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and wireless smartphone charging. We'd also spring for the Premium package, which brings adaptive cruise control, advanced forward collision warning, full LED headlights, a heated steering wheel, and a panoramic sunroof. Engine, Transmission, and Performance Most K5 models are motivated by a 180-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder that pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The engine comes standard with front-wheel drive; all-wheel drive is optional, but not on the GT trim model. The front-drive, 180-hp K5 we drove demonstrated decent acceleration around town, and our testing revealed a 7.0-second trip to 60 mph. However, it was less impressive at highway speeds, where it needed extra time to execute passes. Still, its dutiful transmission and well insulated cabin helped ensure its engine noise rarely rose above a dull roar. The full-Monty GT model has a more powerful 2.5-liter turbo-four that generates 290 horses and 311 pound-feet of torque. Along with its exclusive eight-speed automatic (with the same wet dual-clutch as the Hyundai Sonata N Line), the sportiest K5 is also fitted with bigger brakes, a unique suspension tune, and wider tires on larger 19-inch rims. The GT we drove sprinted to 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds and stopped from 70 mph in 163 feet. The Sonata N Line was slightly quicker to 60 mph (5.0 seconds) and stopped even shorter (152 feet). However, the hi-powered Hyundai we tested wore optional summer tires (the Kia only comes with all-seasons) that contributed to its performance advantage. Get Pre-Approved View Specials Value Your Trade Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG The EPA estimates the 2022 K5 with the base four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive will earn up to 29 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway. Both those ratings take a big hit when all-wheel drive gets into the mix, dropping to 25 mpg city and 33 highway. Still, both figures are similar to the all-wheel-drive Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry. The front drive only, 290-hp K5 GT is the least efficient of the bunch at 24 mpg city and 32 highway. We evaluated a front-drive K5 with the standard powertrain on our 75-mph highway fuel economy test and it returned an impressive 43 mpg, beating its government rating by 5. The GT also overperformed, beating its rating by 4 with a result of 36 mpg. For more information about the K5's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo Inside, the K5 looks amazing for how much it costs. The layout is both sophisticated and straightforward, and the cabin is appointed with attractive materials such as wood trim on the dash and doors. The K5 also offers an array of upscale interior features, such as ambient interior lighting on the dash and doors, heated and ventilated fronts seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a wireless charging pad. While the driver's seat feels high even at its lowest point, the comfortable spot for your left foot and floor-hinged accelerator are nice touches. The back seat also provides generous legroom, and the trunk has plenty of space for luggage. We managed to fit seven carry-on suitcases back there. Infotainment and Connectivity The K5 comes standard with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that shares a bezel with the gauge cluster. The larger 10.3-inch touchscreen is standard starting on the GT-Line. Both systems have a volume knob as well as physical buttons on the steering wheel. While the smaller display offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, oddly, the larger screen does not and requires a corded connection. However, the upgraded unit does have customizable profiles and the ability to connect two Bluetooth devices at the same time. The K5 is also available with a 12-speaker Bose audio system for those who want the best auditory experience. Safety and Driver Assistance Features Kia's family sedan also offers a variety of standard and optional driver assistance technology. For more information about the K5's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ( NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety ( IIHS) websites. Key safety features include: Standard forward collision warning and automated emergency braking Standard lane departure warning and lane-keeping assist Available blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert Highway Driving Assist (Optional) Warranty and Maintenance Coverage Kia provides one of the best warranties, bar none. While it doesn't include complimentary scheduled maintenance, its limited and powertrain coverage are the longest of any automaker besides its corporate sibling, Hyundai.
